Framing

Simple Embellishments can create more visual impact:

Different framing/matting combinations were used to suit the varying tastes/styles of the recipients of this lovely family Christmas gift.
Appliques, hand carved accents, lines, v-grooves, extra mat cuts and colored bevels can add a special touch:

COSTS?

The cost of custom framing depends upon your choices of:

Picture Frame Moulding: cost per foot & width
Glass Type: Reg/Non Glare; Conservation; Museum; Acrylic
Matting: type & number of mats (reg/oval/round)

Embellishments add a unique accent with the tractor accents appearing on the matting.  Decorative rivets on the frame and mat with extra cuts, bring it all together.

This embossed John Deere Tractor ad is floating on a green background with spacing added to create depth, much like a shadow box, with a narrow embossed frame completing the display.

We carry mouldings from over 20 different picture frame manufacturers so that we can offer our clients adequate choices when making their frame selection/s.

Tapestry BEFORE & AFTER

Above left is a tapestry brought in for reframing.  Wood backing with the fabric being directly against and stuck to the thick, aged glass presented challenges.  Mold, dirt and torn areas told the story of a family heirloom that barely survived environmental conditions.

After cleaning both sides carefully with a small brush, vacuuming the fabric through a screen then mending the torn areas, this tapestry was carefully stretched over a rag board the piece was double matted with a gold filet to keep the Museum glass off the surface of the piece.

This family heirloom will now last quite a few more years and be able to be enjoyed.

Workshop & Studio

Our showroom is on the 2nd floor of our main building but all the work is done in our studio in the back.  The studio houses mat cutters, glass, matting, a dry mount press, shrink wrapper, some stock moulding and framing supplies.

The workshop is also Dawn Allen's studio where illustration and puppet construction take place.
